Darling Cool is a musically eclectic DJ and aspiring music ​producer making fresh and meaningful waves in the Bay Area ​music scene. You can catch her selecting classics, deep cuts, ​remixes, and edits across various genres of music—with an ​emphasis on sharing sounds influenced by her Nigerian and ​German roots, her California birth place, and her Midwestern ​upbringing. She loves playing soulful tracks inspired by the ​house, R&B, and rock music that her mother and father, a rock ​photographer and a funk bassist, raised her on. She's also the founder of Black Girls Link Up, a quarterly ​meetup event series in Oakland designed to highlight creative​ Black women and provide a safe space for them to come to​gether and celebrate one ano​ther.
